My name is Cortney Moore. My blog is called moorecort for seemingly obvious reasons. The real reason is to remind me that there is much more to me than a name, face or anything tangible. This blog is a true story to the best of my ability to live it, remember it and tell it. It is a love affair with memories and experiences- individual and collective; language and voice- mine and others; words and writing.

It is about the journey, adventure, uncertainty, trust, inspiration, the black and white… and gray. It is about the breath that fills the body, the thoughts that fill the mind and the steadfast love that fills the heart. It is shallow and superficial; deep and supernatural. It is silly and serious; mundane and miraculous. It is about suffering and sorrow, and peace and joy, and everything in between.
